expired domain
-
I am replacing the last person who kept track of this site and I am guessing that all e-mails warning about the domain expiration went to their e-mail account after they left. I have the receipt for the domain name but from what I’ve read, I need some type of authorization code first. I don’t see a companies name on the receipt besides WordPress. Can you please help me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, it looks like the domain was registered through WordPress.com’s registrar, WildWestDomains and is currently in the redemption period.
Here’s what happens when a domain expires https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
If it is possible to recover the domain, you’ll likely need to pay the registrar an additional US$80 fee for recovery. Please let Staff know that you are willing to pay that fee in additional to the regular domain registration fee.
I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention and assistance. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

Good morning –
Please confirm that you’ll agree to the redemption fee and I will get started on that process.
-
Thank You! We are a coalition of volunteer agencies so I will get with them and let you know once someone volunteers to cover the fee!

Thanks @fairbanksmobilitycoalition. Time is of the essence on these, so we’ll go ahead and create an invoice for you. If you decide not to pay it, let us know and we’ll remove it for you. Just note the domain could be lost forever, or it may simply be deleted so it can be repurchased. It’s just there’s a big risk and a lot of waiting.
I’ll email with more details.

There, I took a bit but I did go ahead and email the account on file at https://wordpress.com/me/account . Please respond there if you decide against renewing this domain. Cheers!

@fairbanksmobilitycoalition we just got the payment. We’re reaching out to the registrar and will update you when we hear back. Thanks!
