Expired Domain

I need to get my website back. I changed credit cards a while back, it didn’t renew and I just left it alone. Now I’m thinking I need it again. What do I have to do to get it back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your site is using the self-hosted version of WordPress, and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only :)
Thanks !!!

We don’t have any history of domain registrations, transactions, or billing activity of any kind on your account here.
Also, the domain you listed was never registered with us, and it looks like it is currently available for purchase.
If that’s the domain you want, you can register the domain with us https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/ or with any other domain registrar, including your former hosting provider.
As for getting back the site under your domain, you’ll need to speak to whomever your hosting provider was at the time. All I can say for sure is that it wasn’t us.

I used bluehost as my host and wordpress as my website builder. I know I did. I have emails in the later part of 2017 telling me my website was updated to wordpress 4.8.1. If you don’t see it does it mean that my website is not redeemable and I have to start from scratch?

Yes, it looks like you did which means neither the site nor the domain was hosted here at WordPress.com, but rather at Bluehost. You weren’t using a WordPress.com hosted site but rather your site was using the open source WordPress.org software while hosted with Bluehost.
For the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, please visit our support page:
Therefore, your best bet is to reach out to Bluehost and see if you can regain access to your site content, if that is who was hosting your site.
Thanks,
