Expired Domain

Hello – the designer to my WordPress-hosted site received word that our domain expired. However, a glance at our back end indicates the domain will not expire until July of 2021. Most perplexingly, none of our team has received any communication about its renewal or expiration status for several years since this thread: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/renewing-expired-domain-18/?replies=2#post-2425658.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Your domain theseconddisc.com expired on July 13. We sent several email warnings before it expired.
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 90 days. You can learn more about expired domains here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/

You’ll need to pay the regular $18 renewal price before we can recover the domain.
