Expired Domain
-
I want to keep my blog, but not my domain; want blog back as listenquietly.wordpress.com, otherwise, it looks like I’m hostage to either renewing my domain or losing my blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Not at all! We don’t want to keep your blog hostage in any way! If you don’t want to keep a domain, we’ll be happy to help you get rid of it.
In fact, I went ahead and changed the primary domain for your site over, so it’s now available at your wordpress.com address, however I need to let you know that the address isn’t listenquietly.wordpress.com, it is listenquietlydotme.wordpress.com.
Now if you’d like to change that blog address, that’s totally fine! You’ll just need to follow these instructions in order to do so:
-
Thank you! I couldn’t imagine you doing away with my blog if I didn’t renew and yet, I couldn’t open nor address the blog/domain. I have it now.

I have tried multiple variations of my blog name but all are saying they’ve been taken…yet, when I follow up, a blog has been deleted, one is a mock blog, etc. How can I resolve this? Or do I need to go in a completely different direction?
-
You would need to go in a different direction in that case. Once a blog’s name has been used then it cannot be reused at any time. I’m sorry for that inconvenience, but it is something which we do in order to protect everyone’s online identity.
Best of luck!
