Hi, I have accidently let my domain expire. I need to renew it but i cannot find where to do it or how to contact someone directly. Is this something I can do? Please help ASAP .

Domain Expiration

If it’s expired more than 2 weeks (Grace Period) it may be possible to renew it but there’s an extra fee.

You will need to contact support at http://wordpress.com/help/contact

Its only one day expired. I can’t seem to find any links or anywhere i can go to renew and the help/support link you gave me is just a link to this public forum. I have no idea where to go or who to contact.

Are you sure the domain is registered with WordPress.com?

If you share the domain that you are trying to renew with the added tag “modlook” then staff can help you.

Thanks for your response… Yes. I purchased the domain through wordpress, but it says ‘registered ‘ with wild wild west domains. But i do not have an account with wild wild west. I know this is NOT an unusual problem as I have spent the last week on wordpress forum and other help sites reading similar complaints with NO resolution.

The direction is usually to go to wordpress.com dashboard and click on dsettings – domains and then renew. I don’t have any of those options. now i am 3 days expired and i am sooooooo pissed off. Especially as I feel asking on the forum is a pointless exercise since i have noticed many others asking the same question and having no response from anyone.

While you purchased the domain from WordPress.COM it is not hosted here

If you are looking in your blog dashboard you will not see the store – is there another account at WordPress.COM you might have used to purchase the domain with?

I know it’s not hosted on wordpress.com as mentioned in my last response… it’s at wild wild west.

If it was that simple i would have solved it.

I purchased it through wordpress.com and all my purchasing has been through here. If wordpress is using wild wild west then I need wordpress help.

Wild West domains is, in fact, the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM uses when we purchase domains through wordpress.com.

I am subscribed. But i am confused…do I contact ‘unified layer’? because all other correspondence and information mentions wild wild west.

Like staff-zinnia said, I suggest you renew it as soon as possible, until it’s on Grace Period, after that there is a late renewal fee of $80.
