expired domain help
-
Hi,
I moved my WordPress.com site to WordPress.org over a year ago, for the site “rewatchability.com”
I kept my domain registration through wordpress/wild west domains but hosted through blue host.
Everything seemed fine, until today, going to rewatchability.com I get this error:
“Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”
I tried to upgrade on wordpress.com, and paid 99 for premium service, but I don’t think that was the right thing to fix it, and it won’t let me cancel the payment. I saw there was a page about domain expiration and there is sometimes an 80 dollar fee if the domain is in redemption, but can’t find a way to pay it. Please help as our sponsors and readers have been inquiring about this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. sorry to bump this, still hoping to get some help from a mod. We’re just trying to recover our domain. Thanks.

Hi @rewatchability, it looks like the domain has been expired for a while now and is now in redemption. I’ll email with details. Cheers!

Hey, thanks, it seems like it’s all working now. One final thing, while I was trying to fix the problem, I mistakenly thought upgrading to premium for $99 dollars would fix the problem. We don’t need the premium service, we’re happy with the free service, but I wasn’t able to refund it. I only went through with purchasing the premium option because it said it could be easily refunded, however it hasn’t let me. Could you please refund the 99 dollars and revert us to the free option?

Thanks supernovia, haven’t received an email yet. The email on file should be (email visible only to moderators and staff)
or you can reach us at (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Happy to pay the fee to get the domain back. Thanks!
