Expired domain means lost blog entries?

How do I recover my blog entries on expired domains?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Of what site are you speaking?

If a domain expires on WordPress.com none of your content is ever lost, as the underlying free address of your site never expires. The account you’re using to post here has also never owned any domains with us, so I’m guessing you’re speaking of a site using the open source WordPress software with another hosting provider.

If that’s the case, you’ll need to contact the hosting provider where you had hosted your site to find out if they still have a backup of your site’s files on their servers. We have no access to WordPress sites hosted with other providers, and no way to help you recover content from such a site that has been taken offline.

that wasnt the site. i used supaztyler et gmail as my email address for my blog nadialah.org

cant seem to find any old blogs under that email under wordpress.
pretty sure i registered it under wordpress for the domain

Thanks — nadialah.org is owned by supaztyler which is why you are unable to access the site from the account you are currently logged in to.

Please try logging out of nadialah from the My Profile page, then log back in with the username supaztyler. You mentioned an email address but I can’t confirm which one is connected to the other account for security reasons.

Come back to me if you have any trouble logging in.

seems like the only email ive been using for my wordpress accounts is linked to nadialah username instead of supaztyler.

may i know if u can help me to find out which email did i use for my old blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

sorry, ive just noticed that i have 2 registered profiles under the same email.
    1. nadialah
    2. supaztyler – the expired domain used this username

im unable to see listed blogposts under supaztyler though

  • ive just noticed that i have 2 registered profiles under the same email.

That’s not possible. Each user account requires a unique email address.

There are multiple sites registered under the supaztyler user account. Which one are you specifically looking to access? Do you know the titles of the missing posts?

I’ve sent a note to the email address associated with the supaztyler user account. If you get that write back to me directly there.

hello liza, i didnt receive any notes under my current account registered with my supaztyler gmail account

i just want to retrieve all the blog posts on nadialah.org and start a new website actually

  • Your supaztyler username account is not connected to the same Gmail address as you’re using for your nadialah account. The supaztyler account is associated with a completely different email address, and that is the address where we sent you an email.

If you don’t remember what email address you used for that account or you no longer have access to it, you’ll need to follow our account recovery process to verify your ownership, regain access to your account, and renew your domain.

    Recover Your Account

That is the only way we can give you access to that account.

Also note that the content on that site is fine, as I said in my first reply here. At the moment you don’t see it because of the expired domain warning, but once the domain is removed from your account, which will happen after about two more weeks, you’ll be able to see it at the free WordPress.com address instead.

Could you look up the transaction ID from last year’s charge? Here’s how to find it:
