HELP my domain name expired how can i get wordpress to release it?

Hello!

When a domain expires, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.

Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.

What is the domain name you want to have released?

Hi kericardinale,

HELP my domain name expired how can i get wordpress to release it?

kericardinale.com expired on 2017-09-02 and is currently in the redemption period.

We can still try to recover kericardinale.com during this time but an $80 redemption fee will be added to the $18 domain cost. If you agree, I can email you a payment request for that amount and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid.

If you don’t want to pay the fee you can wait until the domain is released. Just be aware that this can take 80 days or more and there is no guarantee you will be the first to register the domain again.

Ah, sorry. I don’t think I can edit the invoice, but I can make sure it’s applied to the correct domain.
