Expired domain name
-
Hi! My primary domain name expired so I can’t access my website admin anymore. Is there a way to reset the domain name by any chance ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
That domain is neither registered nor hosted with us.
Please contact the provider where you had bought that domain for help with this.

Hi!
Thanks for your reply, yeah I’m aware of this I actually don’t want to use this domain anymore at all.
However it seems that in order to update my wordpress website to use another domain I need to connect to the site admin which is now behind a domain name that doesn’t exist.
Is there any way for you to update it? Or another way for me to access my website admin and change it?
Cheers,

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
With that said, the site still exists on the hosting provider, if that account is still current at least. What I’d suggest is working with your hosting provider to add a new domain to the account, move the site’s files under that domain, and adjust the database following the guide at https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/#changing-the-url-directly-in-the-database
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
