Expired domain name

    Hello,

    We had a custom domain name – echohillnorth.com. We made the payment to renew but then it was refunded due to the card expiring or something wonky happening. We just noticed that our website is no longer up and that is what alerted us to the situation. We have updated the payment method but there does not seem to be a way to recover the domain name. Any help would be appreciated as we would very much like to keep it.

    Thank you for contacting us. We received a chargeback on your site for the https://echohillnorth.com/ subscription, and it was closed in your favour.

    A chargeback occurs when you contest a payment via your bank, credit card company, or PayPal, instead of canceling your purchase through WordPress.com.

    When this happens, the transaction is reported as unauthorized or fraudulent, and we are fined $15 by our payment processor for each occurrence.

    Once the chargeback fee is settled, it’ll then be possible to purchase the domain. The chargeback fee can be settled here.
