Expired domain name renewal
-
Hi there
I manage a website for my parents and need some help. I logged on today and realized that the domain expired 31 days ago, so I spent some time trying to resolve the issue. After speaking with someone from Live Support, I decided that registering a new domain name was cheaper than paying an $80 reactivation fee. I asked the representative to delete the old domain name (.com) and replaced it with (.me).
Little did I know, that all of the paraphernalia related to the business bears the original .com name and would cost too much money to change
When I tried to re-register the original .com, I was told that the name was taken. Is it because it was recently deleted?
I don’t mind paying the extra fee to get it back.
I realize that it was stupid of me not to ask my parents first, but is there anything I can do?
The live chat assistant isn’t available anymore, so any help would be appreciated
Thank you
