Expired domain registration

  I want to renew an expired registration. The domain is foxtrotracingteam.com for foxtrotracing.wordpress.com and it was registered with WordPress.com. It was purchased previously by Ryan Taylor but he’s no longer associated with our group. It expired on September 23, 2013. Logged in with the foxtrotracing account I can’t see the “Renew” button. Can you please assist?

  You need to have Ryan transfer the upgrade to you (or while they are logged into their account post instructions here in clear words to transfer the domain registration upgrade to you)

  all upgrades can only be renewed by the owner of the upgrade, there is no way currently for a person to “gift” a renewal to another person – it is a feature that has been ask for several times in the forum

  I have also flagged this for the staff but they will tell you the same thing –

  Domain mapping is a tough upgrade because of the internet rules about expired domains, no easy way to have another account just pick up the registration, the other upgrades can expire and another account can pick the upgrade up with only a minimal interruption in service

  Howdy,

  @auxclass is right on the money. It appears Ryan has renewed the domain. Ryan can contact us and reference this forums post, we can transfer the upgrade to your account to save this from happening again next year and onward into the future.
