Expired domain registration by a new owner

    Hi friends, I wish to register a domain that is expired already owned by someone else. What is the procedure to get it? Thanks for any guide you can provide.

    What is the domain?

    If the domain currently belongs to someone else, then you can’t register it. The only way to obtain the domain in that case is if the current owner was willing to sell it to you directly. We do not facilitate private domain transactions like that.

    If the domain is currently going through the expiration process, you’ll need to wait for that process to complete and then register the domain as new once the registry releases it. You can also try to buy the domain on “back-order” through a drop-catch service, but that’s also not something we offer on WordPress.com.
