Expired domain renewal

  I’d like to renew a domain registered through WordPress.com that expired recently. How do I do this? I have read the info on WordPress.com it seems like it is in redemption.

  Other questions:

  • How much is it likely to cost to renew?
  • Is there a way to transfer to another registrar?
  • I only need to use it for email because i don’t use the site any more. Does this give me any alternative options?

  I already checked the whois and it expired in January and now it’s in redemption.

  I am logged in as (email visible only to moderators and staff) currently.

  I have a feeling the other account must be username jackieocarroll25 but I don’t have the password for that account. It’s actually my mum’s account and she has lost it! Sorry.

  Can’t retrieve it because the email address is no longer working due to domain expiration.

  Is there any way around this?
