Expired means over, dead, done and finished. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/ We focus on not allowing domains to expire so others can purchase them when they are auctioned off and that’s why we have an auto renew feature. https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. HI there,
We auto-renewed your domain on 5 January, and then on 26 January you disputed the charge with your bank. That is why your domain is not active any more. It’s not expired. It’s deactivated because you accused us of fraud and told your bank not to give us the money for the renewal.
If you do this instead of contacting us to ask for a refund, your upgrades are disabled, your site is locked, and you have to pay a chargeback fee to reactivate it.
You can see our policy regarding chargebacks here:
I see the chargeback has already been closed, so you will need to pay the chargeback fee to unlock your site before I can restore your domain.
