Expired domain renewal broken loop

    Hello all,
One of my domain names expired 4 days ago, and I’m trying to renew it, but the ‘renew it now’ link only brings me to the ‘Looking to upgrade?’ screen with no way to renew the domain.
I’ve tried exploring all through the billing and purchases page, including the ‘domains’ tab. When I click on the page for the domain I want to renew, I get the same red box at the top that is available at the side of my page, stating ‘[webpagename].com expired 4 days ago. Renew it now.’ with a hyperlink in ‘renew it now’. But if I click that link once, nothing happens (except the blog title at the top left of the screen changes from the blog title to ‘all my sites’ – weird). If I click the link again, I’m brought back to the top ‘Looking to upgrade?’ screen.
It seems to me to be a broken loop, and I’ve tried some moderately creative ways of addressing the issue (I downloaded the App and tried it through there, looked for ways to insert debit cards for billing and see if I could go from there etc.) but to no avail.
Any help would be really appreciated. As I understand it I probably have less than a week left of the grace period when I can renew the domain for the same price.
    Conor.

  • The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner or of the domain you are trying to renew.

So you must have ended up with a second WordPress.com account at some point. You will need to log into the other account in order to renew the upgrade.
