expired domain renewal plz help

Hello i’m trying to renew my website (ranivus.com) but I keep getting the automated run around.
Says i must contact support, but transfers me to a bunch of issues that does not refer to this (or at least im too blind to see it).
I did see a handful of users contacting support through the forums and that seemed to fixed the issue.Do i need an admin release of my website before i can register that name again?

If the expired domain is still in the grace period (about 15 days) then you can renew without much problem, but if it is longer than that and has gone into redemption, then the cost is going to be quite high (around $80 + the normal renewal fee). This isn’t something set by wordpress, it is set by the partnering domain registrar.

So if anyone else trys to buy that name its going to cost $80+ the normal fee?
I don’t mind paying the cost but if there is a more cost effective way of obtaining it it would help -
When the domain goes into redemption, it is held for a period of time by the registrar – sometimes for up to 60 days – before it is released for someone to buy it.
If you wait till it is released, someone else may grab it before you can get it. There are people who watch for expired domain names and if they think they will be able to make a buck or two on it, they will watch and grab it when it becomes available and then put them up for sale, sometimes for thousands of dollars. One of my clients lost one that way and the low-life who grabbed it wanted $4500 for it.

Hmm im 80% sure noone will snatch it up if they do i’ll just make a new name. I’m sure hawk these type of posts often, but they’ll see there’s no profit in this one hopefully.
Anyways, how responsive are the mods about this issue? I just want to buy my name back

No one knows when they will wander though the forums to pick up on the threads tagged for their attention, but they generally put in an appearance at least a couple times each day.

According to our system, ranivus.com is good through June 8 of 2013. Do you see anything different? If so, where?
