Expired domain retrieval?

    I registered a domain through WordPress that has since expired. However, it’s really important to me that I try to purchase this domain back (I understand it would be more expensive than a conventional domain registration). I’m not sure who to contact or where to go to try and retrieve my domain, but when I go to the site (aaronpetcoff.com) it still seems to be connected to WordPress. So where do I go from here?

    It looks like aaronpetcoff.com expired in 2011. The last payment for registration I can see is 2010-09-04.

    It would appear that someone else has registered aaronpetcoff.com. The registrar may be http://www.internetbolaget.se or it may be Key-Systems GmbH, the WHOIS data is unclear.

    Your best bet may be to attempt to contact the current owner and see if they are interested in selling.
