Expired recently need help

  Hi, My domain name – The Good Girl Confessional – expired recently as I have changed credit cards. I would like to renew thegoodgirlconfessional.com ASAP. I have now added the new credit card details to the site. Please advise me on (email visible only to moderators and staff) ASAP what else I will need to do.

  Hi Sandy,

  thegoodgirlconfessional.com expired on 22 May and has already been removed from our system. It is currently in redemption with our registrar.

  Normally recovering a domain from redemption would cost you $80, but our registrar is currently waiving that fee to assist people struggling financially due to COVID-19 measures around the world. So I’m sending you a link via email to just pay for the domain’s renewal cost.

  Once we receive that payment, I can email our domain provider to restore the domain.

  After the domain is restored, make sure to enable automatic renewal from the Purchases page – the credit card details you updated only applies to new purchases made on your account, and does not enable automatic renewal on any existing upgrades.

  Thankyou but the email you sent this too I no longer use and my many attempts to update have failed (I cant attach a screen grab) – Can you send the link to (email visible only to moderators and staff), please?

  Also can you update my email so I get the notifications please? :-)

  We can only send the payment link to the email address on record for your WordPress.com account. If you need to change that email, you can do so from the account settings screen:

  https://wordpress.com/me/account/

  I see you completed the payment a couple hours ago, though, so I’ve emailed our domain provider to restore the domain. We’ll let you know as soon as they reply.

  It is not pointing to your WordPress.com site here, however: https://thegoodgirlconfessional.wordpress.com/

  If you intend to use this domain with your WordPress.com site, you can fix that by going to your Domains Management page:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/manage

  Select the domain and then click the **Change your name servers & DNS records** option. There you will see a toggle button you can turn on to Use WordPress.com Name Servers.
