Expiring Domain Mapping and WordPress will not allow my Payment Info

  I have been the acct mger for festivalbeachgarden.org for 3 years. I received a notice that I needed to ‘Renew the Domain Mapping’ for $13 or the subscription would expire. When I tried to put in my payment information, I received this message: This subscription was originally purchased by another user. Please ask the subscription owner to renew the subscription. I (princessaschermann) need to be the subscription owner so that I can pay. How do I go about this? (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hi there,

  In order for you to become the owner of the upgrade, we’ll either need for the owner to transfer the upgrade over to you, or for them to post in this thread confirming that it is okay for me to transfer the domain.

  Is it possible to get in touch with the owner of the account? Once I get confirmation from them, I’d be happy to transfer the domain mapping subscription over to you.

  Darnell, can you tell me who the owner is and I would be happy to contact them, assuming they are on an old email list. They would happily supply their ok. There is constant turnover at the community garden and these tasks are not always passed along smoothly. If it helps, I am GUESSING it is either Kathy Setzer or Carey Smith or Will Dibrell? Can you confirm one of these, or provide me with the name? Thanks so much. Princess

  For security reasons, I’m unable to divulge the name of the owner.

  What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account and see if anyone responds. All they would need to do is respond from that e-mail and provide consent of the transfer. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.

  Or, if you have a hunch of who the owner is, it might be quicker for you to contact them and get their consent.
