Expiring galleryimage with displayed timer within image

Hello, I’m making a simple gallerywebsite, to put images and videos on.
    So far, so good.

The issue is that I want new images/video’s to be online for a specific period; say 7 days. After the 7 days are over, they will not appear on the site anymore.
The important thing is that I want the visitor to see how much time the image/video has left before it expires. So there has to be an overlay that displays a countdowntimer (days:hours:minutes:seconds).
Something similair is used on the website http://www.vakantieveilingen.nl.

Can’t seem to get a expire plugin that also displays the countdowntimer withing the image/video.

Is there anyone who can provide me with some help?

  • Hi there. I’m afraid this isn’t possible on WordPress.com. There’s no built-in feature that will give your this ability and we cannot install plugins.

To do something like this you will need to set up a self-hosted WordPress.org website. There you’ll be able to install the necessary plugins. To find out more, see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
