Explain how the audio code works. I am confused.

  I don’t understand how the audio player works. I know you don’t need to purchase an upgrade or plugin, but when I put in the code, something like this [audio http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/57239.mp3%5D for example, the music just sits on buffering and doesn’t play. Other blogs music plays right away. Tell me what I am doing wrong please.
