Explanation of image for blind or low vision visitor
-
I would like blind or low vision visitors who are using a screen reader know what the photo is about even if they can’t see it. I see the caption feature, but the screen reader would need to see a description BEHIND the image. What’s the process? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @lyndakosowan ,
I’m looking into this for you. This is not something i’ve tried to do before. I’ll get back to you.

Thanks, that’s kind of you. If I have already uploaded an image and used “insert media” to place it on a page of our website, is there a way to go back and edit the image and add “alt texts” without having to insert it again? Have a good evening!

I think the easiest way to edit the Alt Text for existing images is if you go through your WP-Admin dashboard.
Here’s the link to get you there: https://lyndakosowanwordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpClick edit on the post that contains the image you want to update. Then click on the actual image, click the pencil icon, update the Alt Text, click the ‘update’ button for the image, and then ‘update’ the post once all the images in that post have been edited.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you run into any trouble.
