I have 2 blogs on Word Press. One blog has the Word Press “W” logo up in the explorer tabs. While my other blog on Word Press has the Blogger (orange and white “B”). Can anyone tell me why this is? Is there a setting that I can adjust? Is there something that I did? I am clueless. It is not a big deal. I’m just curious. Thanks, Mike

It’s called a favicon and no, you cannot change it here. You can only change it if you have your own site which you host yourself.

    Hope that helps. :)

Could you give us a link to the wordpress blog that has the orang and white “B”?

I read this twice just to make sure I understood…you have a blog on wordpress.com and it has a Blogger fav icon? (blink)

Yes, I have a snipped a picture of screen. I will email a picture to you. I can’t figure out how to post a picture in this forum.

I’m relatively new to blogging. (less than 6 months). When I pull up my blog on my laptop I do get the “blogger” favicon (orange background with a small case letter b) in the explorer browser tabs. if anyone would like I can email you a picture of my desktop that shows this. I don’t know how to post this screenshot to the forum post. It is very wierd. But, when I pull up on another computer, I don’t get the blogger favicon. Again, it is not a big deal. It is just strange to me and I wish I knew why it was doing this. I did have some problems with “splogging” (google ads) a few weeks ago. But, I think this is totally unrelated to this situation. Thanks, Mike http://www.homebuyersadvocate.wordpress.com

why not just post a link to the blog that has the blogger favicon? Or post a link to the screenshot, if you have it stored online somewhere?

    I’m curious too!

I uploaded screenshot to my blog. Here is the link. Can anyone tell me why this automatically has a blogger favicon for my wordpress blog? I don’t even have a blogger account. Strange, no one else uses my lap top.

    Thanks, Mike

That’s weird indeed. I wonder – I noticed from looking at your blog directly that you’ve got a FeedBurner scroll. Did you by any chance choose Blogger when you were setting that up? (I’m grasping at straws..I have my own tab issue.)

Thanks for taking the time to do that.

That is weird, although I cannot reproduce it. I see the W in my browser when I click on your blog.

Sounds to me like another caching problem. Anyone?

Yeah…staff probably needs to look into this one. I’ve seen one WP.com blog where the link to the comments section takes you to blogger, but I’ve never seen THIS before.

I vote for a heavy dose of irony. I’ve downloaded the screenshot to put in my stranger than truth archive.

    Thanks for posting that Mike.

Just further proof of G*ogle’s plot to take over the world (aka Pinky and the Brain).

Maybe there’s a sale they haven’t told us about?
