Explorer users can't log in to password pages

  Hi gang, yesterday I startet getting reports about people using Internet Explorer being unable to log in to password protected posts. The log-in form shows but when entering the correct password and pressing the button, the form page just reloads without moving the visitor to the protected content. I tried this myself in Explorer, and indeed, logging in doesnt work. In Opera and Firefox this works perfectly though.

  The only system change I made prior to these error reports, was removing a widget with which visitors can subscribe to updates via email. I dont understand how removing the widget prevents people from logging in.

  Is it an Explorer issue? Any other ideas?
