  everytime i tried to export my blog content by clicking on save the xml file, it says “page not found”.

  Yeah, there’s some weirdness. Safari does that. Firefox 2.0 forces the export page open to an RSS feed. I had to use Camino to correctly export the xml file.

  IE 6.0.2900 on a WinXP (I think Pro) box.

  I’d try it again but I’m trying to run Win Update currently on the new laptop and it keeps failing on me. :(

  I’ve managed to download the file, somehow. unfortunately, can’t open it, or the file can’t open properly.

  Did you open the file in a plain text editor like Notebook? Or did you by chance open the file in Wordpad or worse still, open it in WORD?

  it didn’t ask me to open it with any software but gave me an error message instead.

  i’ve given another try with firefox, this time it worked. So i have to do the export and open the file with firefox.

  but the exported xml.file is incomplete, seem it can’t generate all the entries in the blog.

  I’m sorry to hear about your difficulties. Your fellow bloggers answering questions on the forum are unable to provide any “technical fixes” because we do not have backend access to blogs.
