  Hi. I am trying to export all of the posts from my blog so that I can import them to wordpress.org. I have done a few trial runs, it works, but I am finding now that it won’t export everything. It’s only exporting posts that weren’t included in the previous exports, even if I select the full date range. Help!

  Hi Laura,

  I can definitely help you out with this. First, can you confirm you’re selecting All Content when trying to export your WordPress.com site? Second, can you elaborate on what you’re seeing that’s indicating all posts are not being exported? Are you receiving an error on your self-hosted site when you try to run the import?

  Hi! Thanks Jeremey. I actually just wound up copying and pasting the text into new posts on my new site. I am planning to do the official switch over tomorrow. Will I still have all of my followers if I do this?

  Hi there,

  You’ll just need to follow the steps here to move your followers:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

  Email subscribers will still receive new posts via email while WordPress.com subscribers will only see posts appear in their Reader (no email). For this reason, you might want to drop a note on your WordPress.com blog letting them know you’ve moved!

  Lastly, I noticed you still have an active WordPress.com Premium bundle on your account. Since you’re moving to self-hosted, would you like me to remove that for you so you are not charged going forward?
