  I am moving to a self-hosted site, which I’ve done with a number of other blogs where the export-import worked fine. In this case, though, all the posts and images are not imported to the new site and it’s impossible for me to tell if they were not exported or not imported.

  The only way I can tell is that there are three full months missing from my archives list, and I confirmed that I did have daily posts during those three months.

  This export is different from what I’m accustomed to. When I’d moved other blogs I’d broken the export down by year so I wouldn’t have a huge file and each export-import wouldn’t take too long. Now, however, I don’t have the option of choosing a date range. Instead I have five XML files in a zip file that don’t correspond to years because this blog was up for six years. Also, when I look at the list of contents after the XML file has been uploaded, they aren’t necessarily sequential, and I’m not sure if individual posts may be missing.

  It’s a photography blog, and I sell prints of the photos. I really don’t want to have to rebuild those three months. I tried re-exporting and re-importing and those three months still do not show up.
