Export and import

Hi,
When I export a website at one address and import to another address, do loose the content from the first website? Meaning, do I loose the content from my original address? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also I just want to do export and import to another address, just to have a back up and work on various design features with out having to disrupt the original production website.

When you create an export file it is a copy of the content. Unless you delete the content, the original content still exists and is still exactly where it was after you create the export file.

There is no necessity for removing any content from any free hosted WordPress.com blog to “work on various design features” whatever that means. The only themes we can use are found here > Appearance > Themes Some have customizable headers, backgrounds and layouts and some don’t. However, for clarity do know that those WordPress.com themes cannot be exported out of our blogs.
