Export and Import Problem

  I’m converting from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress.org & Bluehost. I have done the ‘export all’ in WordPress.com (65 posts). However, when I ‘run Importer’ in WordPress.org, only 13 posts import and I have a lot of ‘failed to import media’ lines. Please help! How can I import all of my posts correctly?

  Hi there!

  Have you tried to export and import the file again? Do you see the same errors?

  Hi I tried it and after logging out and refreshing, they were in there! I think part of the issue was that I changed the author instead of just accepting the current author from the old blog so all could upload.

  Just for future reference, the version of WordPress you’re using over at Bluehost is not the same as the one we use here on WordPress.com, so we’re not able to help with anything on that site.
