Export blog to website/duplicate content as seen by google.

  I have exported my blog to my website but I don’t want duplicate content on the internet as google now penalises it. Is the content on WordPress seen as duplicate by Google or is it seen as coming from one source and therefore OK?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you copied the content to your web site (Export then import to new site) then it will be duplicate content as long as Google (and other search engines) can find that same content at different addresses

  You can set all the old content here to “Private” and that will leave a backup copy here as well as hide the content from everyone – I think the bulk editor will let you change many Posts at once to Private –

  Remember also to either get a site redirect upgrade to send traffic to your new site or leave a note and link on the blog here saying you have moved

  Were you using any domain mapping?
