Export Blogs with Featured images

  I have just exported a heap of posts from a wordpress.com site as well as the media library.
  The images within the posts have imported into the new site with no problem, however none of the featured image linking has carried across. In the past I have used this plugin to achieve this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/export-media-with-selected-content/

  I am not able to use this on a wordpress.com site so I am reaching out to ask if it is possible to export these posts with their attached featured image.

  Hello there,

  Many thanks for reaching out.

  When content is exported from WordPress.com, featured images are also carried over with it and should be set when re-imported.

  Are you able to share the website being exported to please?

  Hey there,

  Absolutely. The site is: http://urbaqua.wpengine.com/’

  It’s showing whatever image is in the post content in my grid (http://urbaqua.wpengine.com/home/latest-news/) but the featured image is missing in the back end.

  It just has the spinning wheel in the back end (http://urbaqua.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Screen-Shot-2021-02-04-at-8.27.12-am.png)

  And if I click on it, its a “nothing” kind of media (http://urbaqua.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Screen-Shot-2021-02-04-at-8.27.35-am.png)

  The site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on WP Engine Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

  To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and WP Engine also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different (more advanced) version of the platform than what we use here.
