  I have exported all content and now have an XML file
  how do I use this file? the instructions on the site are not very clear

  Hi @nadiabrazil,

  The XML file can be used to import your blog content to another WordPress site. Here’s how:

  For self-hosted WordPress.org sites:

  * https://move.wordpress.com/exportimport-content/
  * https://wordpress.org/support/article/importing-content/

  To another WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/import/
