Export Featured Images

  I am trying to migrate to self-hosted blog, but my featured images are not exporting at all.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Images only move as attachments to post, rather than as separate media files. Could you please confirm that the non-exporting images are attached to posts here:

  https://foodapp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?mode=list

  Scroll down the list and look under the “Uploaded to” column. If it says “Unattached” anywhere, click Attach, and select the correct post.

  Thank you, I will check this. But I have done several exports before while migrating to self-hosted blogs and this is the first time the featured images were not successfully imported. If you go to http://www.ultimatefoodapp.com, you’ll see that the only posts that have featured images (aside from the one I posted today) are the slider posts, which I had to manually “re-attach” in the new blog. All the other posts no longer have their featured images.

  Hey there!

  I’m wondering if attaching those images helped. Let me know!

  I see you’ve built/migrated several sites in the past, but am wondering if changes to our image editor many months ago might have thrown a wrench in your usual procedure. You may have to check on whether all images are attached in your library, going forward.

  If attaching Featured Images did not work for you, could you confirm for me that the images are not exporting? I know you mentioned this already, but wanted to make certain that they’re not ending up as unattached images in your Media Library. Sorry for the redundancy.

  Finally, if Attaching before exporting didn’t help, please let me know. I’ll attempt an export for you on my end.

  Thanks, I’ve tried re-importing a few times already. Don’t have time to try this now, but we’ll try importing them to a completely new test blog, and test it with a different blog’s database as well. We’ll probably do this next week. I’ll keep you posted!
