Export File

    Hello All

I have a question. I’m creating an export file. I know how to do that and I know how to import that file as well. The problem I’m having is if I export the file using ‘all categories’ and then import it elsewhere it show a zillion categories. In other words the import will list all categories for every post. I have only 13 categories, but when I import that file elsewhere it shows 159 categories. The only solution/work around I can find is importing only the ‘better blogging’ category which will move all of my posts. The difficult problem there is I would need to go through every post once it’s imported and assign more categories and update the post. Seems like a lot of work, actually it is a lot of work.
Is there an easier way to import without all the redundant categories?
    Thanks

Normally the XML file contains your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags. What you are describing is not normal behavior so please contact Staff for help > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
