Export function not available from wordpress.com account

    Good day
    I am trying to export the contents of my pordonde.wordpress.com but I cannot find the Export function under any of the tabs/menus indicated by how-to documents.
    What am I missing? Should it not be under Tools or Settings menu in the dashboard?

    Hi there,

    You should be able to export your content from My Site ->Settings ->Export.

    The other option is Tools ->Export in the WP-Admin dashboard:

    Thanks for your reply kokkieh but no dice. The My Site -> Export does not exist and the Tools -> Export only gives me instructions on how to install and use Press This.

    In further review of the site, my account seems to have switch roles from admin to Editor. Not sure how that has happened.

    How can I revert to admin role?

    Hi there,

    It looks like the username chepenato was originally added as an editor to the site back in 2009. This username has never been an admin on the site.

    The site only has one admin, and that’s the user who created and owns the site, pordonde

    If that account is also yours and you don’t have access to that account anymore, or can’t remember the email address you used for it, you’ll need to submit the account recovery form to regain access:
    Account Recovery

    If that account belongs to someone else you’ll need to get in touch with them, as only an admin can export a site or change the role of another user.
