Export Function Not Working

I am trying to export data from a WordPress.com site so that I can have it be on a WordPress.org site. It says that I should be able to do that without paying any money on this page.

I have followed the instructions by going to Tools and then to Export, and then trying to download a file. It works for a while and then I get a page that says “This webpage is not available.”
Apparently something is broken. And this has been going on for months.
Would you please notify someone to fix it? The idea that I should have to buy a “Guided Transfer” from you in order to get my own data when it was promised upfront that I could get it for free is very upsetting.

As I said above, I already tagged this thread for Staff. They will get to this thread and respond to you after they answer all the threads tagged for their attention previous to this one being tagged. Please be patient while waiting and know that every time you post into this thread you move the timestamp forward and that means it will take longer to get Staff help.

I am not interfering. In fact If I did not tag this thread for Staff, then they would not respond to it at all as this is a peer support forum. So let me try to help you comprehend what the reality of your situation is.

You did not choose to to use the contact support link. You chose to post to this peer support forum, where Staff and Volunteers work together cooperatively to provide WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer the majority of all support questions and when we cannot provide support we tag threads for Staff assistance.
As I noted above I have tagged this thread for Staff help. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

Please understand that I don’t want to hear from you again either but you keep posting into this thread and bumping the timestamp forward in time thereby guaranteeing it will take longer to get Staff help. All you have to do is stop posting and wait, knowing you may not receive a Staff response today. It’s that simple.

I managed to get the data I needed, by asking that the export be just for the posts rather than for everything. The comments did get exported as well.
