Export function not working

  I have tried to export my website content as xml files.

  I even received assistance last weekend from support staff who sent me a zipped file that was supposed to contain all my content.

  But no matter what we try (support staff and myself) only a small portion of the website is successfully exported.

  For example, there are over 3,000 posts in this site:
  https://jamahiriyanewsagency.wordpress.com/

  Yet even the zipped file sent by support staff only contained 252 posts.

  The same has happened with every file from each website, whether I have exported and imported them myself or with WordPress support.

  There is no limit to what I can import to the new location.

  The problem is that I simply cannot export my content.

  Is there a limit on how much we can export?

  If so, what is the limit?

  I see I’m not the only person struggling with this issue.

  I am also unable to successfully export my site content. After a minute or two of attempting to reach the server, Chrome times out and says it cannot find the page.

  I’m attempting to export cactustractor.wordpress.com. What’s going on? I’ve tried multiple browsers and platforms. This is very inconvenient and I need it resolved asap so that I can move forward with development.

  The export in the zip file would have included several individual files to be imported. Did you import all of them?

  I made several attempts – unzipped the files and imported each xml separately. No more than a few articles out of thousands of posts were imported.

  I then went back and exported my posts by year and tried importing 1 year at a time. Same result. Incomplete.

  I took another look at your export file, and the one I see definitely has more than 252 posts in it, so let’s try this again. Please completely clear out the site you are trying to up load these posts to and then import each XML file (I’ll send you another copy in a private email) one at a time. Be sure to wait for each file to upload completely before you start the upload on the next one. Let me know it what works better.
