export / import from wp.com to wp.org

  I have successfully set up a self hosted wp.org, but when importing my xml file, the posts, layout and menu are not carrying over. Any advice?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The theme, layout and menus are not exportable. Only the content is exportable.

  Thats ok then – but where is the content – no pages or posts – I only have tags, categories. The menu is there, but not set up (due to there being no pages and posts) How do I get my content over!

  All fixed! I tried using chrome instead of safari and it all worked! thanks
