Export – Import problem

  I’m helping a friend to move a site to a private hosting.
  The Export went fine.
  The Import showed some error:
  In Swedish:
  Importera WordPress
  Media ”Placeholder Image” finns redan.
  Misslyckades att importera ”Jetpack t-shirt”: Ogiltig inläggstyp jp_pay_product
  Misslyckades att importera ”Jetpack t-shirt”: Ogiltig inläggstyp jp_pay_product
  Misslyckades att importera ”Jetpack t-shirt”: Ogiltig inläggstyp jp_pay_product
  Media ”burk-ny-bioril-4” finns redan.
  Allt klart. Ha kul!

  Before the Import I installed the same Theme: Shoreditch
  Was that a mistake?
  How can I solve this?
  The new site is not at all like the old.

  Hi, it sounds like you need to install Jetpack and connect that to their paid account. Then try the import again. jp_pay_product is related to paid products on the site.

  I installed Jetpack and connected it to his account.
  Then I ran the installer again, but still the same.
  Was it a mistake to install the theme before I ran the installer?
  Should I delete the site and start all over?
  In that case, how much should I install first before I run the installer.

  Hi there,

  There are no WordPress.com sites associated with the account you’re using to post here.

  What is the URL of the site you’re importing to? And what is the URL of the site you are exporting from?

  Last time, no errors were displayed during installation, but the site is still the same.
  The site was public when I made the transfer, but is offline now because it does not look good.
  I export from https://nelfab.wordpress.com/
  The next attempt will be at night with the site online again.
  In the meantime, I will be preparing a new blank WordPress website.
  Do I need to have the Shoreditch theme installed before importing?

  Can you please also provide the URL of the site you’re importing to?

  If you’re importing to a site using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider, we cannot help you with that here, as we don’t have any control over the importer on your site in that case. For help with that version of WordPress you can ask the WordPress.org community instead at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  For help with the Jetpack plugin you can reach their support at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/

  Do I need to have the Shoreditch theme installed before importing?

  A WordPress site won’t work without a theme installed, so you need to have a theme installed. It doesn’t necessarily have to be Shoreditch – which specific theme you have installed cannot in any way affect how the importer works.
