Just to be clear — are you trying to export your content from WordPress.com, or trying to import it into WordPress.com from another platform or WordPress site? The threads you’re referring to are probably related to imports.
In any case, have you checked your junk/spam folder for the email? Sometimes these emails will get caught in there.

Hello
We are trying to export all our posts, we get a message saying it has been sent to an email but nothing shows up. We have checked our spam folders as well and there is still nothing in it. -
I’m happy to export the blog for you in that case. This is for the site previously at fasstperformance.com? Do you want all the content exported, or just posts?
Let me know, and I’ll email you the file.

Hello
We are still having an issue with this, we got the file you sent over but it is only letting us import 100 of the blog posts not all of them, Another big problem is that none of the featured images are attached to the posts. Can you please send us a new file with this corrected ASAP.Thanks

Hi, @jbrader21
Are you trying to import the file to another WordPress.com site? If so, can you please tell me the URL of the site to which you are trying to IMPORT so I can check if the problem isn’t perhaps there.
Thanks.

Hello
No it isnt our new website that is the problem. When we go to export on our .com wordpress website it says it has sent an email to our email address. We are not getting any of these emails.
I asked your team to export all the posts for us and send us the file which he did, but when we import all the posts none of them have featured images and only a 100 of the 300+ posts import.
Can you please export all our posts along with the featured files so we can add it to our new website, this is now needed ASAP as we have been having this problems for days
Regards

also is there any chance you can fix the issue with them emails not being sent when we export?
-
Hi there.
The export file contains all the information needed for the featured image to be transferred, but your WordPress.org theme must allow featured images. If you are using a theme that doesn’t support featured images, they won’t import to your site. You can find more information on that here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_ThumbnailsThis is due to the way WordPress.org works, and there is nothing we can change in the export file to change this.
I have also generated new a new export for your site, and have verified that it contains all your posts. I have emailed you a link to download those files. Please let me know if you don’t receive my email.

When we import any of the images in the posts are being linked to our old website, is this a normal thing?

I was just on the phone to godaddy as we are still having issues with the import file.
When we import it is only bringing in 100 to 150 posts with no featured images.
We have already increased the php.ini file so its not that which is causing the issues. Godaddy have asked me to ask you if you can provide the .sql file and the wp-content file -

This is normal, yes. The export file does not contain the images themselves, but only links to those images in the media library. As long as your WordPress.com site is still public, the WordPress.org importer should fetch those images and upload them to your library after it has finished importing the content. This can take a day or two more, depending on how many media files you have. If this doesn’t happen, you’ll need to ask in the WordPress.org forums for help, as there is nothing we can do from this side to help with that.
Also what about the email problem???
In the email with the link I sent you I explained that our logs show the email was sent. If you didn’t receive it, it might be in your spam/junk folder, or otherwise it might have been redirected by a filter in your email client. Try doing a global search in your email for the address, (email visible only to moderators and staff). The email would have come from that address.

We have already increased the php.ini file so its not that which is causing the issues. Godaddy have asked me to ask you if you can provide the .sql file and the wp-content fileThere is no FTP access on WordPress.com, and thus no downloadable form of those files which I can give you. The only way to export content on WordPress.com is via the XML files we have provided to you.
I have checked your blog’s export files several times for errors. I have also manually counted the number of posts in the file, and have been able to import the files to my own test site without any problems. On my own site those files imported a total of 358 posts, 49 pages, and over 100 comments.
I am certain that there is nothing wrong with the files, and I see no reason why they would fail on your WordPress.org site. Please make sure you have the newest version of WordPress.org installed and that you’re importing via Tools ->Import in the WordPress.org dashboard, and not another import option provided by GoDaddy.
Beyond that I really can’t help, so please ask in the WordPress.org forums if you still have problems with this.
