Export, not Move.
-
I blogged briefly (27 posts) after my partner died. It turns out, that was a phase of grieving that passed. I would like to keep a record of my posts that mostly looks like my posts did on wordpress. (The right photos in the right places, theme in tact, etc.)
It seems like wordpress provides one option for this: export to a file format that only works for moving the content to a new blog site. (My export was a 129kd mess that the Open XML Converter program didn’t even recognize.)
I know I can pull up each post and tell my browser to save the page, but I was hoping for something that would allow me to create one document.
Any ideas?

I’m not sure about options that will use your blog theme, but here are some ideas that will put all of the content into one document: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/08/03/bloggers-publish-your-book-ebook-or-your-blog/
You could also try changing the Reading settings to show all of your blog posts on one page. You can do this by going from your dashboard to Settings -> Reading -> “Blog pages show at most” (near the top of the page). Then you can just save that one page with all of the posts on it.
