Export of large site

  I’m trying to export the full contents for this website. It’s timing out for me, and I was hoping there might be a way to do it other than in small batches.

  And an unrelated follow-up question:This client appears to be on the free plan, yet he has his own domain pointing towards the site. Would that have been set up though you, or did he find his own registrar and configure the DNS settings?

  He has no recollection of doing that, but I don’t see anywhere in this account where a domain is being managed.

  How large is the file?
  Have you tried exporting in separate smaller files for:
  Posts?
  Pages?
  Feedback?

  2. domain mapping
  The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for theseconddisc.com. theseconddisc.com is set as the primary domain for theseconddisc.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site. If you need more information then do a WHOIS search

  Yes, the domain seems to be registered at wildwestdomains.com. The client says he’s never heard of that company and doesn’t recall registering the domain. It was at least five years ago, so I’m working under the theory that he just doesn’t remember doing it…

  When one purchases a domain through WordPress.COM via a domain mapping upgrade they are purchasing a domain from wild west domains.

  That would make sense. But I can’t find any mention in the account of the domain purchase. There’s nothing listed under billing. Is there another spot where that might be managed?

  I think I definitely need some assistance from a Happiness Engineer to export this content. I tried breaking it up and exporting a few months at a time, but curiously, when I import them, I’m missing several hundred posts, and many refuse to import the author info…
