Export of posts of selected category giving error

I have changed the browser; cleaned cache; and tried again the export of posts of select category. Again it resulted into error. No error message though.
Could this be for # of posts etc?
Earlier too, had same issue – then I didn’t try.

We are hosted as free blog on wordpress.com
it’s not showing that many options there – as shown in the tutorial
It gives option to export all – select post/pages/feedback – on posts – it gives option to select category/author etc though and then export
Upon selecting specific category from drop down – and then clicking export – the process starts and stops within 5-10 seconds with standard error on the top (to retry again or contact support) – no error number etc

@staff I am able to replicate the issue after trying importing all posts under Tools ->ExportRegards:

It doesn’t seem to be internet connectivity issue – as I am on 200 mbps connection. Also tried on alternative connection – but issue persists

I tried to replicate the error on my end and was able to replicate the error:
After some digging, I found that there are several users who are dealing with this exact same error. We have reported this internally and are awaiting an update for a potential solution. We apologize for the inconvenience but will definitely keep you updated once we receive anything new regarding the error you are receiving.

Thank you — in the meantime, are you just having issues with this one category, or are you trying to export others and running into the same problems regardless?
I can try making an export file for you from our end, too, if that would help.

I tried with 4-5 categories and each time, faced this error
We are in process of splitting the entire blog into 10-12 different blogs based upon respective groupings.
Appreciate your generous offer of exporting for specific category and am tempted to take this offer. However, it may be too stretched for each such category / grouping.
