Export page not working

Is the Export page down? I have been trying to export my blog as a backup to XML, but keep getting an error page.

Are you both still having trouble with Exports? I did several tests and wasn’t able to replicate the issue.
If it’s still a problem for you, let me know and I’ll do the exports for you manually and send you links to your files in separate, private e-mails.
Sally–if it’s not working for you be sure to let me know which site you are trying to export.

My web designer in Italy tried , it didn’t work for her either. I am migrating IM hosting , they said they’ll do it for me..but not sure how they will do it if it cannot be exported at all.

You have several sites in your account. Just let me know which one you are trying to export.

i am going crazy, even my new imhosting site wont help me, they jsut tell me to READ THIS LINK and im sorry but I have no idea what ‘amp’ is domain privacy, how to unlock, i dont know how to confirm i have access to the administrative email with your current registrar???? i have no idea what this means and these people are telling me over and over to read the page but how can i do it if i dont understand and it’s not exporting???

Clear your browser cache and cookies. Go to the dashboard Tools page. Click Export. Make sure you select to export all of the contents, including comments.

i even tried going incognito, whatever that means, and it didn’t work either. Here is what it says:

This sounds like the instructions to transfer your domain name, not to move your content. Are you trying to do both?
Transferring your domain name means that the URL Canadiansassysally.com would go to another registrar and instead of managing it on your WordPress.com domain page, you would manage it at your new registrar. Your domain name is separate from your website content so they have to be moved separately.
If you are trying to move your existing website and all it’s content to another host, and you want that host to also be your domain registrar than you would need to transfer the domain and move the content.
If you are trying to do something different, let me know and I can double check to make sure you are following a process that will get you where you want to go.

I waited a few days and tried again; still can’t get my blog to Export. I click on Export and the little timing circle just spins round and round. What are we supposed to do? I want to back up my blog regularly.

I’m able to export your blog, so I’ll be happy to send you a link to the export file in a private e-mail.
As for backups, you don’t really need to worry about that from a security point of view as we take care of that. You can read more about it here:
Hopefully that helps ease your mind. If not, just reply to the private e-mail thread whenever you need a new copy of your export file and I’ll be happy to send you one.
