Export problem

  Hi there,
  I am trying to move from wordpress.com to a self hosted .org site.

  I have followed instructions to export the site from wp.com and import to wp.org however, when I do this the imported content is only about a dozen images (there is 1.2 GB of media in the wp.com site) only 1 page and no portfolio projects.

  I tried exporting only the media files and this downloads a file which has nothing in it.

  Any suggestions anyone?

  Featured images are theme specific images. When you import the XML file there is a prompt asking if you want to include attachments. Say yes because the media files, including images are attachments.

  We provide support only for sites hosted by wordpress.COM.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
