Hi scharfsimon,
On WordPress.com, we only offer the option to export an .xml file of your content:
Those are the steps you would need to follow for exporting from lxmuseumquest.wordpress.com.

Thanks Gemma. I found that option already but it apparently doesnt allow me to move my entire site with all the settings, content, layouts etc to my new domain at bluehost. is there any way that allows me to do it, so i can avoid building the site more or less from scratch?

There is no way to move an entire WordPress.com site like that, no. WordPress.com is a shared hosting environment, meaning your site shares its files with other sites, so there is no way to download an entire site as is. WordPress.com also uses a slightly different version of the WordPress software than you’ll be using at Bluehost – we have features and settings that don’t exist in the open source version of WordPress, and even where the same setting exists, it might work differently behind the scenes. Even if we could give you a full-site backup, you won’t be able to just install and run it as a stand-alone WordPress site on Bluehost’s servers.
The only export option we have is the one under Tools, which creates a WordPress export file of your site’s content.
