Export tool is not generating the expected .XML
-
Hello,
When clicking on the export option for http://www.sugareuphoria.com/our-blog I do not get the expected .xml file. There is only the text in a new window. Is there a way for the developers to download the file for me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I just tested an export. My system -Mac – puts the export file in my download section. I can then move the file to where ever I need it. I never tried opening it.Is there anything more you can say about what is happening?
Cheers!

http://www.sugareuphoria.com/our-blog/ is not a free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we do not provide support for it here. You are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different log-ins.
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG yet click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Note the permalink structure here http://www.sugareuphoria.com/national-hunger-action-month/
Compare it to the permalink structure on a free hosted WordPress.com blog which contains the datespamp , knowing it cannot be changed on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
Example: http://sugareuphoria.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/happy-new-year/

I’m sorry, but I do not understand what that means. Is there a way that someone can email the xml file from http://www.sugareuphoria.com/our-blog/ to me?

No. You need to post to this support forum http://wordpress.org/support/

@bobbol
I think you understand the issue re: the differences in the permalink structure. But the bottom line is this is not a WordPress.com issue. It has to be resolved at http://wordpress.org/support/
