Export WordPress database so I can use new host

    Hello, how do I export my database? I am going to be using a new host, and they are requiring the XML content, as well as the database to get it working on my new host. When I click export, I only get the XML file. Can anyone assist? Thank you!

    Hi there,

    On WordPress.com you can only export your content in XML format. There’s no database export feature.
    If you plan to use the self-hosted version of WordPress you can follow this guide:
    https://move.wordpress.com/

    otherwise, if you absolutely need to export your site’s database you have to setup WordPress locally and move your content from WordPress.com through the move procedure described in the link above. This way you’ll have your database locally and you could export it.
