exported blog different from what i see

  i just exported the whole of one of my blogs. two things happened:

  a) i didn’t get the whole blog; it cut off a few posts.
  b) it contains spam. i can’t see spam on the blog, though, and akismet is empty.

  Is the blog you exported a wordpress.com hosted blog?

  i solved it! looked around some more in the forum and realized that looking at the file in notepad solves the first problem.

  and the second? um … i did this first thing in the morning, with my eyes all bleary, and it turned out that “akismet: 0” was actually “akismet: 50”. cleared akismet and no more spam. [looking sheepish]

  however, it’s interesting to know that even when akismet has caught the spam, it’s still sitting somewhere.
